You Are a Unique Wedding

For you, love is rare and important. You consider love a gift, and you're know you're lucky for each person in your life who truly loves you.

To be unloved would make you feel rejected. You love carefully and deliberately, and you take being loved in return very seriously.

Romantic love makes you feel secure and taken care of. You take romantic relationships seriously, even in their early stages.

When you're with someone, you tend to quickly build your own little world together. It's likely that outsiders don't truly get your relationships.

Non-spoilery, but there might be spoilers about the latest episode of Supernatural in the comments.

I, apparently, find some things and situations way less funny than most people. (And find some way more, as anyone who's watched a movie or a play with me has remarked, after the fourth of fifth time my laughter rings out in the quiet auditorium.)

However, watching somebody pick on a particularly bad performance that I have watched about 30 seconds of altogether (... maybe a minute? Tops?) and doing it well enough that I can recognize it? Totally can crack me up. And lift my mood. Whee!

Yeah, my daily tarot thing has been freakily applicable for days now again, and even more so, today. Is that a sign that I'm going a bit nuts, or that I'm channeling my NaNo muse a bit too much? :-P (Yes, I know that is somewhat nuts, too. >.> )

Right. Translation. Interspersed with catching up with shows from last night. Whee!

Finally caught up with the Mentalist. Still love Jane. To bits. The dratsab.

I'd post to sws about just how irked I am with the so called Disney crack... and I realise that if I do, I'd get tagged by each and every single mun playing that. Um. Yeah, no.

Need to write. It was going well last night, not so, or at all, right now. Boo.

Still doing reasonably with both keeping up with stuff, and eating and sleeping. Even though what I really want to do just now is curl with the book until I finish it and/or drift off...

Geoffrey Chaucer Hath a Blog

Found via a post on (I believe) [info]dot_pagan_snark...

Geoffrey Chaucer Hath a Blog.

Oh, Jesus, I haven't laughed this hard in weeks. I took Middle English in university, and whoever's writing this inspired parody has got it down pat as far as I can tell.

Serpentes on a Shippe! (spoylerez)

Al of Londoun ys aflame wyth newes of the grete entertaynment of 'Serpentes on a Shippe,' the which ys perfourmed ech daye by the menne of the gild of beekeeperes (and thus ys ycleped a 'b-movie'). Spoyler alert: If ye haue nat yet sene the performaunce of 'Serpentes on a Shippe,' rede nat of the romaunce, for it doth telle of the manye suprises and straunge eventes that happen in the course of the storye, and thus it mayhap shall lessen yower enjoiement of the performaunce yt self.

Maybe you have to be an English major to appreciate it.

So... if I am MIA, slow on tags, snappy, or something like that? It's not you, chances are that it's me. And it's not even NaNo's fault, well, not on its own - I just got dumped a 67-page somewhat specialized lingo translation (En-Bg) to do. Plus things picked up at work a bit.

I will attempt to organise myself and be adequate (and that does mean food and sleep, yes), but for a few days at least, until I hit my stride (or up to two weeks, until I finish the translation), no guarantees.

Oh well. Have dragons.

Movie posters

WOW.

Photobucket

Two more behind the cut )

Yes indeed... back before "Photoshop" was even a gleam in the eyes of the future, it took real painterly talent to create a good movie poster. I stand in awe.

Quote of the day

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and I could say, "I used everything that you gave me."

- Erma Bombeck

In other news, I'm in love with Tanya Huff's writing and, in particular, the Blood books. (Yes, I watched the Blood Ties series. Love that. Now on to the books, and I'm really enjoying them. A lot.)

In yet other news, still sick-ish. Do not want.

In other news, DST is over here. That's fair warning to you guys overseas, if my hours seem a bit more skewed than usual to you, that's why.

In other news, yes, I'm doing NaNo again this year. Now that the fic of doom is done with, I'll be back to working on outline and characters there. Whee. I mean, be warned, insanity is coming to you. Again.
